Farlowe first emerged in the eyes of the record-buying public in mid
'63 when he signed to Decca, in fact, he had been playing music since 1957
in skiffle groups.
None of his early records had any impact but it was apparent that he
possessed a dynamic, powerful voice which only needed the right song to
establish his name. In the summer of '66 he found that song, Mick Jagger
and Keith Richards' "Out Of Time" which went to No. 1.
Further singles only had moderate success, but his albums were
considered excellent.
Farlowe broke up the Thunderbirds in 1968.
